Higher secondary school

My studies at ISB are a time I always look back on with a smile on my face. Despite the IB DP being challenging, it taught me numerous life lessons that many students from other programs lack, and it ultimately made my transition to university smooth, easy, and fun. However, it isn’t only the IB DP that shaped me as a person but also the wonderful teachers and classmates I have met along the way. And I am forever grateful to be a part of the ISB and IB community.

Absolutely brilliant. My kids went to Early Years 1 & 2. The staff and homeroom teachers are exceptional. The school follows PYP program for the Early Years which is very encouraging. My kids look forward to going to school everyday and enjoy exploring and learning. During the time when Covid related restrictions were imposed, the school offered an online engagement program for the kids and really came through for the kids. I don't know if it was special just for this class or happens every year, but my 5 year old is ending the school year as someone who can read phonetically, write, add his numbers, tell music notes apart and most importantly, express his opinions, ask questions and empathize. As a parent, I was looking for a school where my kids would feel happy, safe and be engaged. ISoB did all that and more. If you have the financial means, ISoB is a great investment into a child's future.

I worked at the school for 4 years as a homeroom teacher. The staff and principal were very supportive from the start and truly listened to teacher, parent, and student concerns when making future decisions or changes. The environment promoted growth for all - students, teachers, staff. The PYP Framework has great flexibility to teach skills and tailor learning to the student interest and needs. Class sizes will increase a little up to 18 students but the school is also exploring and implementing expanded programing (such as outdoor classrooms) to engage all students in different ways. EAL students receive additional support in different areas such as phonics, push-in and pull-out classes. Classes are taught in English and most students are (or become) bilingual. Overall, I would recommend the school to teachers and parents alike.

Syn nastoupil na tuto školu před 4 lety, a dnes jsem velice ráda, že jsme tento krok udělali. ISOB vede studenty k samostatnosti a pečlivosti a IB program je připraví pro možné budoucí studium na světových univerzitách- syn je nyní předběžně přijat na 3 univerzity v Anglii a jednu v Kanadě. Na škole vládne velmi přátelská a vstřícná atmosféra. Pokud přemýšlíte nad touto školou, nemusíte čekat na dny otevřených dveří a domluvte si schůzku kdykoliv, vaše děti to jistě ocení.
